Once turned on it stays in effect for the current mission: turning it off takes effect after the mission ends.
Activate before using a flare. Turned on during a cooldown, it takes effect from the next flare.
Mission 2
Takes effect when you gain score.
Campaign 2
While on, your campaign credit is set to this amount whenever the game reads it.
Takes effect when you complete missions.
